Head Coach
Maitre Pieter Leeuwenburgh
Maitre D'Armes Pieter Leeuwenburgh has work as a professional fencing coach for over 30 years. He is currently an Assistant National Coach (Epee). He is an accredited Level 3 Fencing coach and a qualified teacher (Physical Education and Science).
His athletes have represented Australia in numerous World and and Asian Championships. Recently he has produced medallists at 2016 SEA Pacific Games and Asian Cadet and Junior Championships (2011 & 2012) and a medallist in a European Cadet Circuit Competition (2013). He has produced numerous National Champions and medallists in all three weapons.

Assistant Coach
Leah Tausan
Leah is an accredited Level 1 epee coach; she is studying Architecture at the University of Melbourne. She teaches beginner classes and gives bouting feedback during Junior training. She brings a wealth of competitive experience to her advice, having represented Australia at Junior World Championships and at Cadet and Junior Asian Championships. She was an individual medalist at the 2011 Asian Cadet and Junior Championships and a member of the Women’s Epee team that won the Junior Asian Championships team title in 2013. She is a Winged Victory sports scholarship holder at the University of Melbourne and an Elite Sport Service scholarship holder.
Assistant Coach
Alex Hunter
Alex is an accredited Level 1 epee coach; he works as a teacher full time. He works with novice and developing fencers, individually or providing coaching advice. He has been a finalist at Australian Fencing Competitions and achieved a Top 64 at Junior World Championships.
All our coaches are registered with the Australian Fencing Federation (AFF).
